SimCity Amusement Park DLC Coming This Month

EA has confirmed that SimCity will receive amusement park downloadable content on May 28th.

Following a listing on UK retailer Green Man Gaming (since removed), the official SimCity Twitter account wrote “Some of you may have seen thrilling new SimCity content that arrived too early at the gate. It’s coming May 28. We think you’ll be amused.”

According to the retail listing, the Amusement Park Pack will let players “build the amusement park of your dreams, right in the middle of your city” with “classic rides, vehicle rides and thrill rides” that “allow you to make just the theme park you want.” The content will still require SimCity to play.

The content is also said to include “three large, impressive themed amusement park entrances” for players to choose from along with customizable paths, a mini-train station, “different types of rides and different styles of ticket gate.” The listing also notes that “the large influx of shoppers that amusement parks bring benefit local commercial businesses. Happy tourists will even stay in local hotels to shop or visit the amusement park another day.”

Look out for official information on the Amusement Park Pack to arrive in the coming weeks.

Sonic the Hedgehog Series Will Be Exclusive To Nintendo Consoles

The next game in SEGA’s Sonic the Hedgehog series will be exclusive to Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, with Nintendo President Satoru Iwata announcing details of a worldwide partnership with SEGA during a new Nintendo Direct video announcement today.Sonic Lost World is a new action-adventure platforming game, and more information about it will be announced before the E3 2013 video game trade show begins on 11^th June.
The Nintendo Direct also announced a new addition to the Mario & Sonic series, the first appearance for the series on Wii U, as well as revealing launch dates for Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101 and New Super Luigi U.

Manhunt Now Available on PSN

Call of Duty Black Ops II Uprising DLC Map Pack Available Now on PS3 and PC

Today, PlayStation 3 and PC players have access to Call of Duty Black Ops II Uprising, Activision and Treyarch’s latest DLC Map Pack for the record-breaking Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Uprising includes four new multiplayer maps, plus “Mob of the Dead,” a bone-chilling new Zombies experience that takes players to the notorious prison island of Alcatraz, where four of Hollywood’s most iconic mobster actors, including Ray Liotta, Michael Madsen, Chazz Palminteri and Joe Pantoliano, lend their talents to the game to bring this horrifying adventure to life.Following the tradition of the original Call of Duty: Black Ops fan-favourite Zombies mode “Call of the Dead,” Call of Duty: Black Ops II Uprising’s wildly creative new “Mob of the Dead” Zombies experience puts players in the shoes of four Prohibition-era mobsters: Billy Handsome (Liotta), Al “The Weasel” Arlington (Pantoliano), Salvatore “Sal” DeLuca (Palminteri) and Michael “Finn” O’Leary (Madsen). Studio – A contemporary re-imagining of “Firing Range,” the fan-favourite multiplayer map from the original Call of Duty: Black Ops. “Studio” is a Hollywood movie back lot with a variety of cinematic themes that range from Sci-Fi to the Old West.

Fans can purchase Uprising as a standalone Map Pack for a suggested retail price of £11.59 for PS3 and £11.49 for PC. Call of Duty: Black Ops II game sold separately, and is required to play this Map Pack.

PAYDAY 2 To Be Available Via Retail

505 Games and Overkill Software, a Starbreeze Studio, are pleased to announce that the upcoming title PAYDAY 2, sequel to the 2011 hit PAYDAY: The Heist, will no longer be limited to digital download and will now additionally be released globally at retail for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Game Director on PAYDAY 2 David Goldfarb said,

“We have a bit of a problem here at Overkill – there are just too many great ideas and none that we were really happy to throw out – so PAYDAY 2 has become just too big to reserve release on Xbox Live® and PlayStation®Network alone.”

Head of Global Brand at 505 Games, Tim Woodley added:

“It’s an incredible position to be in, having a game that just keeps growing and getting better all the time,”

2003 PS2 Hit Manhunt Is Coming to PSN Next Week

Next week, the roster of downloadable Rockstar titles in the PS2 Classics collection at PlayStation Store is set to get bigger – and grislier – with the addition of Rockstar North’s dark stealth thriller Manhunt, originally released 10 years ago. Beginning on May 14th Tuesday when the PSN Store does its weekly update (Wednesday for those in Europe), you’ll be able to step back into the shoes of James Earl Cash, a Death Row inmate playing that most dangerous game of kill-or-be-killed at the mercy of the maniacal Lionel Starkweather.

Manhunt will be available from PSN for $9.99 / €9.99 / £7.99 and joins Bully and Red Dead Revolver, as well as all PlayStation 2 entries in the Grand Theft Auto and Midnight Club franchises, in the PS2 Classics category of PlayStation Store.

It will also soon be joined by The Warriors – stay tuned, Boppers…

Injustice: Gods Among Us – Lobo DLC Out Tomorrow

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today is releasing Lobo, the first playable downloadable content (DLC) character for the blockbuster DC Comics fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us. A ruthless intergalactic bounty hunter known for his brutal tactics and rogue attitude, Lobo is available now on the PlayStation Network for £3.99, and will be available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 400 Microsoft Points beginning tomorrow. Also available today are the Teen Titans skin pack including Cyborg, Deathstroke and Raven skins; and the Bad Girls skin pack consisting of Wonder Woman, Catwoman and Harley skins. Each pack is available on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 240 Microsoft Points and the PlayStation Network for £2.39

Wolfenstein: The New Order From Bethesda Softworks Announced

Bethesda Softworks announced a new title, Wolfenstein: The New Order, an action-adventure shooter slated for release in Q4 2013. The game is being developed by MachineGames, a studio comprised of seasoned developers known for creating compelling, critically-acclaimed story-driven games. Wolfenstein has been widely credited for helping establish and popularise the first-person shooter genre, and Wolfenstein: The New Order is a reimagining of this franchise – offering players a gripping and dramatic experience.
