Further to GAME’s recent news that the epic combat title Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 3 is to be playable for the first time in the UK at GAMEfest, five further Activision titles are now being added to the line up for this gaming extravaganza. Titles including Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure™, GoldenEye 007™: Reloaded, Spider-Man™: Edge of Time and X-Men™ Destiny will all be available to customers at GAMEfest giving them the first chance to play some of the most hotly anticipated titles of the year.

In an innovative breakthrough for the videogame and toy industries, Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure lets you Bring Your Toys to Life™. Utilizing the mystical Portal of Power™, players take the role of a Portal Master, collect real-world toys and transport them into virtual worlds of adventure, where they will embark on a journey to save Skylands from the sinister Portal Master known as KAOS. .

Fans of the original James Bond classic will be eager to get hands on gameplay of GoldenEye 007: Reloaded. This brand new title is the true HD 007 experience shooter fans around the world have been waiting for, with a wide range of new modes and more maps, weapons and characters than ever before set to keep the secret agent ahead of his foes and is all playable at this year’s not to be missed gaming event.

Tickets cost £10 for anyone aged 12 or over and £5 for anyone under 12 years old. To buy tickets, would-be attendees need to own a GAME reward card. If you do not currently own one, you can go to www.game.co.uk or to any GAME store to sign up and then go to the website to buy the tickets.

When Activision hit the drawing board for Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure, the blockbuster publisher turned to top Hollywood creative talent to create an engaging story-driven narrative. The game, toys and technology were developed by Novato-based developer Toys for Bob and the adventure-filled story was penned by two of the Academy Award-nominated writers of the original Toy Story movie, Alec Sokolow and Joel Cohen. The resulting franchise will offer families a line of highly collectible characters, an inviting story, and an immersive interactive entertainment experience when the game launches later this year.

Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure lets kids take on the role of a powerful Portal Master who can control over 30 different characters, including the beloved purple dragon Spyro. Each of these heroes is a protector of Skylands, an amazing mysterious world which has been taken over by a sinister Portal Master known as Kaos; a powerful enemy that has frozen the Skylanders as toys and banished them to Earth. Anyway Activision have today released some screenshots for Modern Warfare 3 for all you Modern Warfare fans and more will be on the way soon. Axl is suing the company for over $20 million dollars for fraud, breach of contract and unjust enrichment, among others claims.

COURT DOCUMENTS: Axl Rose Suing Guitar Hero Makers

In the court filing, Rose sates that he is the majority owner of the trademarks and licensing associated with the band. Axl has an issue with Guitar Hero III using “Welcome To The Jungle” without his permission.

In the legal documents, Rose states, that there was an agreement to use the song for Guitar Hero III, but “Activision breached the contract when it released GH III which prominently features Slash imagery in direct connection with the use of “Welcome to the Jungle,” exploits the prior association between Slash and Guns N’ Roses, promotes Slash’s and VR’s (Velvet Revolver) separate interests and includes VR tracks as available downloads, all of which was and is directly contrary to the contractual obligations of Defendants.”

Rose is seeking at least $20 million dollars in damages, punitive damages and other associated costs.
