A British company has become the first to launch a real-money blackjack game on the Apple iPhone. Apple’s go-ahead for 32Red’s Blackjack App represents a major step forward for the iPhone and iPad platforms. In recent months Apple has been tightening its policy on which applications it allows in the app store. But 32Red, an award-winning online casino operator, is ushering in a new era of reliability and credibility in gaming with real money.
A company called zGames launched an iPhone game/app called zGhost, allowing users to see ghosts all around them. The application uses augmented reality technology to overlay the camera view with some scary ghosts.
For easier ghost hunting, there’s the radar that helps you find them. In total, there are over 16 different ghosts, as well as the option to “Ghost Yourself” by using a photo from your Gallery. Moreover, the sound is apparently awesome (3D), especially if you’re using earphones.
Finally, there’s the option to share spookiest scenes with your friends on Facebook.
All in all, zGhost is an interesting app and one more way to demonstrate the use of augmented reality. The question is whether it’s worth a buck (99 cents, to be more precise), considering there are so many other (honestly more entertaining) apps in Apple’s AppStore. You’ll definitely get entertained, but not for a long — or at least, me thinks so… AppStore link is below.

Why have APPLE not made a game console, I do not mean the oversized iPod Touch iPad or iPhone. I mean an actual Gaming Console with discs and what not?
Apple have a great reputation. Even the company boss has a great name ‘STEVE’ thats a very powerful name, my name is STEVE aswell did you know that?. They manufacture the most popular series of music and video players in history and its line of Mac computers is constantly growing, and it will soon be able to go head to head with PC.
So, why hasn’t it entered video games? Sony entered the video game market during the nineties, and many thought the Playstation would fail, especially some key employees of the company. Well many years have gone by and they have released three consoles so far, they are a primary video game console and game manufacturer.
Microsoft is the exact same. They developed the Xbox to mixed reaction, but with the release of the Xbox 360 it is one of the most successful consoles of all time. Nobody knew why a PC and computer company entered the video game market but it worked and it definitely payed off.
So Apple, wheres that console??
Here is some names you could call it…and feel free to add more aswell readers via the comments below!
…thats it as I aint as imaginitive with names like the guys at Apple. They already have a store and its not like people hate Apple that much cus they are always getting new apps on to it.
I asked the host of a cool podcast – Scott Johnson what it was about Apple he liked and he replied “For simplicity, Design & Forward Thinking” and I agree. Even though the only Apple products I have are iPod Touch and an iPhone but I would get the console if the made it for sure!!
Thats it!! so as mentioned above share the names of what you think they should call their console if they enter the market and if you’re clever at graphics why not show us what it could look like?
Scott Johnsons Podcast is available from HERE for free! and if you love music you’ll adore his podcast!
