Gordon Van Dyke to Lead Development on Paradox’s Online Titles and New IP

Paradox Interactive announced today that Gordon Van Dyke, former DICE (Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment) Battlefield Franchise Producer, has joined the production team at Paradox Interactive AB as a Senior Producer. Van Dyke will be charged with leading the production of the online titles and developing new IP.

Last week on the EA Store we had BIOWARE week and starting today first person shooters are reduced via the EA Store. This is deal 2 of many that are going to be happening on the road to Christmas.

As mentioned before the deal changes every week. So currently Mercenaries 2 is £7.49, Crysis is £11.24 and Battlefield Bad company 2 is £18.74.

    Battlefield: Bad Company 2 NEW ONLINE MODE INCOMING

    For the first time in the Battlefield franchise, co-op gameplay will be available with the introduction of an all-new mode called ‘Onslaught’. This is an expansion on the multiplayer experience for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and will be available for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. This is while Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has exceeded 5 millions copies sold worldwide. This new mode should be with us early as next month.

    Seth Schiesel of The New York Times says “is a better game than Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.”….well we’ll have to see about that won’t we.

    Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Onslaught mode can be played with up to four players across four multiplayer maps – Valparaiso, Atacama Desert, Isla Inocentes, and Nelson Bay – redesigned with new lighting, time of day, added vehicles and other effects. Each map has a dedicated gameplay focus, requiring different levels of teamwork in order to complete the objectives against an onslaught of enemy AI. Vehicle warfare comes to the forefront in Atacama Desert while Nelson Bay focuses squarely on infantry assault. Players can compete in squads and check individual progress via the dedicated Onslaught leaderboards.
