In what could be considered shockingly obvious news, DICE has just revealed that the Battlefield 3 beta that’s out now for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 are based on a build that’s more than a month old.

Battlefield 3 Open Beta Starts Next Week

Battlefield 3′s much-anticipated open beta starts on Thursday, Sept. 29, the publisher said this morning.

The beta will run until Oct. 10 and will give players a chance to check out the game and the social platform Battlelog, according to the post on the official website for the game.

Today Ubisoft announced that the Assassin’s Creed Revelations multiplayer beta is now available for download on the Playstation^®Network, exclusively for PlayStation^®Plus members and Playstation^®3 Uplay members and will be playable from September 3^rd 10am, closing on the evening of September 11th.
