Fantasy Football Manager

WeMade Entertainment today announced that its free-to-play online fantasy soccer experience Fantasy Football Manager is now in open beta for the 2010-11 English Premier League season. Players are being invited to participate and provide feedback in exchange for WeCash, WeMade’s virtual currency, to help create an entertaining and interactive fantasy sports experience. WeCash can be used in any WeMade game including Fantasy Football Manager, Digimon Battle and others to purchase virtual goods, upgrades, bonus items and other benefits.
In Fantasy Football Manager players will create teams of their favorite EPL stars and challenge other fans in fantasy matches, competing for big earnings and a chance to be the number one fantasy team in worldwide rankings. The experience updates in real time, enabling users to track their success and make adjustments that increase the club’s chances at dominating the pitch.
To encourage participation and user feedback, WeMade will be giving away 1,000 WeCash (worth $10 USD) to every user who submits an idea on the official forums and 5,000 WeCash (worth $50 USD) to the 10 players with the best ideas, as picked by WeMade.
“We encourage fans worldwide to participate in the beta and provide us with feedback that will help us to create the most fun, interactive fantasy sports experience in the world,” said AJ Redmer, CEO, WeMade Entertainment USA. “Soccer is the most beloved sport in the world, and the English Premier League has an audience that reaches far and wide, so we know fans will be passionate about visiting the FFM forums and contributing their ideas.”
Participate in the open beta and control your own EPL team by visiting: http://ffm.wemade.net/. Ideas may be submitted at the official forums in the General Discussion section of the FFM website under the Feedback and Suggestions topic.
1 Chuck Norris rejection + 3 Apple rejections later, iPhone game finally gets approved
It has been a tough journey for Jolt Online to get their anti-farming game published on the App Store, but they have announced today that FarmVillain
is now available for their usual price of £0.59 pence.
True story: FarmVillain was actually rejected by Apple a total of four times, including one that saw Chuck Norris directly intervening, giving the app a roundhouse rejection kick to the curb for including “features that identify Chuck Norris.” Apparently ole Chucky is on the constant lookout for “offenses” like this.
FarmVillain is for all your weary Facebook users who are sick of “friends” asking you to harvest their farms while they’re on holiday. Players can take revenge on anything resembling a farming app with the game’s borderline offensive jokes, and the developers promise that after playing, you’ll be less likely to murder your FarmVille friends. The game is already on Facebook and has been very popular in the past months so this new app promises to be just as fun. The page for it is here.

Second Major Release of justRace is Live
justRace is the only real racing game on the Facebook platform, launched in March 2010. The game combines a classic passion for driving in simulated racing tracks with the modern appeal of car customization and social interaction through competition.
The casual racing game justRace has just been revamped with its second major release. The developers at justGamez studio are working constantly to make it a great entertainment and socializing product. A series of new, more engaging features were just released, including two initial cars to choose from and cool racing trophies to be won.
The game is now based on levels, and the user needs to perform a series of challenges, wins and gain experience points in order to advance and unlock more features. The players will discover two new cars corresponding to the initial levels of play, a Hot Rod and a Sparkster. Each comes with acceleration, handling and other features. As they will advance through the game, users will get access to better performing cars and other various upgrades.
Another major introduction is the ‘My Achievements’ section. Each player will be able to gain a number of trophies and medals for their outstanding racing skills. There are requirements for each trophy to be gained, from number of winning challenges to number of successfully finished races, with even more to be added soon. The faster the racers and the more they challenge their friends, the more trophies they will be able to collect and show off!

Zynga signs games deal with Yahoo!
Mafia Wars and Farmville creator Zynga has inked a deal with Yahoo! to integrate games across its global network, including its homepage, games, mail and messenger services.
Yahoo! claims the deal will allow Zynga to reach over 600 million users, as the social games business continues to expand its network across the web. “Yahoo! is focused on providing compelling, personally relevant experiences and social games are core to this experience,” said Hilary Schneider, executive vice president, Yahoo Americas.
“Zynga will bring top notch social game experiences to Yahoo!, including through our open platforms such as Yahoo! Application Platform and Yahoo! Updates. Yahoo! will also continue to work with other partners, developers and publishers to bring compelling innovations and experiences from across the web to our users.”
Zynga recently signed a new five-year deal with Facebook, and also provides games to MSN and MySpace, as well as releasing games for the iPhone.
“With over 35 million unique users playing our games every single day, social games are fast becoming a leading source of entertainment worldwide surpassing most television shows,” added Mark Pincus, CEO of Zynga. “Our partnership with Yahoo! gives millions of new users the ability to connect with friends and families through games.”
Become a FarmVillain
A note from Jolt Online & Silly Goose has arrived to GhostStorm this morning.
Dear Anarchic Farmer,
Tired of all the lonely brown cows wandering onto your profile? Exhausted by the amount of time that virtual farming seems to be taking up in your otherwise cosmopolitan life?
We know exactly how you feel.
Jolt Online Gaming and our friends from SillyGoose.ie have launched FarmVillain, the Facebook app that gives you all the entertaining bits of online farming with absolutely none of the work. Described as “tasteless” (Kotaku) and being so low-brow that “it’s leaving little brow trails on the ground behind them” (Kotaku again), we think we’ve hit the mark perfectly. With almost half a million users already, it seems a few other people do as well.
