Some characters remain the same, like Sonic and Mario for example where as others are changed slightly like Sam Fisher and Solid Snake.

Another one to go under the knife is Cole the leading character in inFamous, apparently the new look Cole is to make him more appealing according to Sucker Punch the games creator that is. The original Cole character to me seemed perfect for the role he was meant to play as you can see in the image below:

This new Cole however does look more like a ‘model’ than an actual ingame character:

I personally don’t like this ‘new Cole’ and prefer the old model as he was more rugged and like I already said his character just looks perfect for the role of the game. Not only are they changing his looks but they are also changing his personality too.

Art director Matthias Lorenz said that he gave Cole a new look in order to make him a “more appealing, more compelling main character.” In terms of his new personality, Animation Director Billy Harper mentioned that they wanted the new Cole to be “a little gritty, a little street, without the grumpiness.” They described him as an “EXTREME sports star – like Travis Pastrana, Tony Hawk or Chris Sharma – what would they be like if they had super powers.”

So what do you all think, d’ya reckon its gonna work or do you reckon they should have kept the old Cole?
