The first thing you will notice about Final Fantasy XIV is how complicated it is to get into the game and get online!

It is not just a matter of installing the game, adding account details and choosing a character slot to fill with your character. Well not initially anyway but I will leave that for the review. Also what you need to remember is that this game is fairly new and therefore do not expect to be greeted with the same amount of players as you would get on the likes of World of Warcraft but there is still a lot of people around though and just like other MMO’s there is various worlds to choose from.

Here is my character who I named Brian Bobbins as I just wanted to get into the FFUniverse.

That emote is the “doze” emote that you can do whilst sat or whilst stood and is one of many emotes available to players. I am new to the Final Fantasy title but my partner has said she played it when she was younger and that it now looks totally different – which is cool! So whats the character creation like? well I will go more in depth in the upcoming review but I will say that it is no way as good as it could be, this leads to a lot of people looking pretty much the same. I was expecting the same kind of thing we find in other MMO’s like City of Heroes/Villains etc but that is not the case, maybe that will change.

While I get my review in order have a look at some ingame footage that, like the previous video, was recorded via my xfire client and unfortunately they make video sizes small so do not expect the best in quality.
