The RPG for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC based on the epic series by George R.R. Martin, which was recently adapted into a TV series by HBO, presents today in details one of the many places the players will get to explore: Riverspring.Today’s video and screenshots turn their focus to the troubled waterside town of Riverspring and Sarwyck Keep, the home of its ruling family. A vacant lordship and civil unrest greet Alester Sarwyck, one of the game’s two main characters, as he returns home after a fifteen-year self-imposed exile. He arrives as the town mourns the passing of his father, the elder Lord Sarwyck, forcing Alester to consider reclaiming rule of Riverspring and restoring order to his lordship.

The township of Riverspring will be one of the many places the 2 heroes of the game – Mors, sworn brother of the Night’s Watch, and Alester, the Red Priest – will have to explore but also to fight through. From King’s Landing and Red Keep to the Wall, an Epic quest awaits our heroes, guided by revenge, loyalty, honor, and family, along a twisting plot filled with betrayal and violence.

The problem is in order to get some DLC for a game you gotta buy something else. However, EA have changed that slightly by announcing that playing the demo of Mass Effect 3 & Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning unlocks new content for the opposite game.

So for example if you check out the demo for Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning you will get Mass Effect 3 DLC and vice versa.

So here is what you get from each demo.

Mass Effect 3 Demo which is out on February 14th, which was announced here gives you the following for Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning.

N7 Armor: Players can unlock special armor inspired by Commander Shepard’s iconic N7 battle armor including helm, cuirass, gauntlets, chausses, and greaves.
Onmiblade Daggers: A holographic blade stemming from Commander Shepard’s Omni-Tool, the Omni-blade allows players to stab enemies in close combat. Once players install and play the Mass Effect 3 demo, they will unlock the daggers.

Kingdoms of Amalur Content

Playing Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning demo which is out now gives you the following for Mass Effect 3.

Reckoner Knight Armor: This armor will maximize damage done in close-quarters combat while a beefed-up power cell feeds energy into weapon systems to increase projectile velocity.
The Chakram Launcher: This weapon uses a fabricator to manufacture lightweight, explosive ammunition discs. This weapon is earned after completing the Reckoning demo and watching the trailer at the end.
ME3 Content

Those who play the Kingdoms of Amalur demo will also unlock the following items for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning:
- Twist of Fate Card: This card boosts the player’s ice resistance and is immediately unlocked when he or she activates the Reckoning demo using his or her Origin account.
- Twinned Souls Chakram: A unique weapon that damages enemies while boosting player health and mana in Reckoning.

Ubisoft has debuted the Mediterranean Traveller Map Pack, all-new downloadable content for Assassin’s Creed Revelations for the Xbox 360 and Windows PC. The Mediterranean Traveller Map Pack will be available for PlayStation3 computer entertainment system starting tomorrow, January 25, on the PlayStation Network.

Following on from an article we wrote earlier. DICE have reported that they have caught, and banned, a significant number of cheaters on Battlefield 3. This is apparently they’re “largest crackdown yet”. On the same forum post ‘trydling’ also stated that there is a fix on the way for those of you who have suffered issues with VOIP on the Playstation network but states that you have to keep tuned for exact timing.

Valentines Special Mass Effect 3 Kinect Demo

A new Mass Effect 3 demo complete with Microsoft Kinect support will be arriving on Xbox Live on February 14th 2012. Demo release dates for the PlayStation 3 and PC have yet to the unveiled by BioWare.

The new Kinect controls to be included in the Mass Effect 3 demo will give you a glimpse of what you can expect when the game is officially launched. Providing you with voice commands that enable you to control environmental interactions, together with commands for combat and choosing your conversation options within the game. The voice control in Mass Effect 3, while not altogether replacing the squad commands in the game, certainly seems like a useful tool. Being able to not only switch between weapons, but also call up certain biotic powers can keep the player’s focus on the battle itself rather than menus.

The new Mass Effect 3 game will be officially launching on March 6th in the US and March 9th in Europe on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles, together with Windows PCs. Mass Effect 3 marks the final chapter in the Mass Effect trilogy of video games, completing the story of Commander Shepard.

CheapyD, one of the founders of Cheap Ass Gamers is coming to Saints Row: The Third as a DLC homie on the 17th. True to his namesake, he will be free.CheapyD (or David Abrams, as he’s known by his family) bid $1,725 on a charity auction last year to get included as a extra character. The charity helped the family of Ashley Ames, who passed away tragically after a fire in 2010.
