25 MILLION JUST DANCE Games SOLD Worldwide

Ubisoft have today announced that, Just Dance 3 has sold more than 7 million units since its release,according to internal estimates, bringing total sell-through of the Just Dance franchise to more than 25 million units worldwide. Launched in October, Just Dance 3 has consistently been in the top five video game sales charts in both the U.S. (NPD) and Europe (GfK Chart Track). People spend a collective 23 million minutes playing Just Dance 3 each day around the world, having fun dancing to more than 7.5 million songs every day.*

In 2011, Ubisoft’s Just Dance franchise came to the Kinect™ for Xbox 360 and the PlayStation Move for PlayStation 3 for the first time, in addition to its continued availability on the Wii system from Nintendo. Ubisoft recently broadened the brand with the release of Just Dance 2 Extra Songs and Just Dance Kids, they also launched Just Dance in Japan and Korea, selling more than a half a million copies in those two countries.

Ubisoft also expanded its dance game offerings throughout the year with the release of ABBA: You Can Dance, The Black Eyed Peas Experience, Michael Jackson The Experience, and most recently The Smurfs Dance Party. According to internal estimates Ubisoft games accounted for 64 percent of the dance game genre in EMEA in calendar year 2011.

Assassins Creed Revelations Mediterranean Traveller Map Pack DLC available Jan 24th 2012

Ubisoft has now revealed the Mediterranean Traveller Map Pack, all-new downloadable content for Assassin’s Creed Revelations for the Xbox 360, PlayStation3 and Windows PC. The Mediterranean Traveler Map Pack extends the Assassin’s Creed Revelations multiplayer experience with the addition of 6 multiplayer maps, each introducing new gameplay opportunities with their varied terrain, perches and hideouts.Players can journey to the majestic holy city of Jerusalem, the opulent imperial district of Constantinople and the colourful mercantile district of Dyers. Fans of the franchise can also revisit favourite Italian Renaissance maps from Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood specifically requested by Assassin’s Creed players to be included in the pack. To start, players will explore the historic city of Firenze (Florence), then travel to the mountains of San Donato and visit night-time Siena with its carnival lights, talented performers and deadly hiding spots.

The Mediterranean Traveler Map Pack will be available for download on January 24 for 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE and £7.99 on PlayStation Network and Windows PC.

Developed by Ubisoft Montreal with the support of Ubisoft Toronto and Ubisoft Red Storm, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6 Patriots revolves around a dynamic single-player storyline that captures the reality of modern-day terrorism and allows players to experience it from multiple characters’ perspectives. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6 Patriots is due for release on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in 2013.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6 franchise has sold more than 25 million copies worldwide and has been hailed as one of the best first-person shooter series of all time. Just Dance For Kids

Today, Ubisoft announced the forthcoming release of Just DanceKids on the Wii, Kinect for Xbox 360and the PlayStation Move for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system. Developed especially for young kids by Land Ho!, Just Dance Kids will feature 40 songs, including today’s hottest hits, as well as popular songs from kids’ favourite TV shows and movies and mixes of classic kids songs in several languages. In addition, the game includes Just Dance Kids also contains all-new features exclusive to each platform and will be released in the UK on November 4, 2011.
“Just Dance Kids provides kids from 4 to 8 years old with exciting new features on top of the elements that have made the Just Dance franchise a success,” said Geoffroy Sardin, EMEA VP Marketing and Sales at Ubisoft. “Just Dance Kids is a must-have family title. It will get kids active and moving while bringing the entire family together, laughing and dancing in their living rooms.”

Created with kids in mind, the game boasts colourful and lively graphics, fun dance moves and easy-to-follow kid-friendly gameplay. The choreography will have players dancing to covers of such hits as “Burnin’ Up,” “Barbara Ann,” “Shake Your Groove Thing,” and the online hit, “I Am A Gummy Bear (The Gummy Bear Song).” such as “Love Me,” “Whip My Hair,” “Just The Way You Are,” like “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” and “The Hokey Cokey” in several languages.

Just Dance Kids takes full advantage of each motion control platform, providing unique features and experiences for the player. The Kinect for Xbox 360 version of Just Dance Kids will allow kids to play without using a controller, star in their own music videos and create and save their own dance routines to challenge friends and family members. With the PlayStation Move, kids have the ability to capture their dance moves with the PlayStation Eye, which snaps photos of players while dancing. In addition, kids can select their favourite song medleys. The Wii version of Just Dance Kids features a brand-new multiplayer mode called Balloon Pop, which lets kids shake their Wii Remote controllers to earn more points and have more fun while dancing. All three platforms offer a game feature called Nonstop Shuffle, where players can play the game for designated periods of time of 15, 30, 60 or 120 minutes without having to push any buttons or navigate through menus for non-stop play.

Ubisoft is headed to GAMEfest 2011

GAME, the UK’s leading games retailer, today announces the addition of games publisher Ubisoft to the line-up of this year’s eagerly anticipated gaming show, GAMEfest.

Ubisoft will be showcasing hotly awaited releases including Assassin’s Creed Revelations, Just Dance 3, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and Your Shape Evolved: Fitness 2. Visitors to GAMEfest will be able to get an early look at these games months before they go on general release across the UK.

The addition of Ubisoft and its diverse range of titles at GAMEfest adds to the growing list of gaming heavyweights, including Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo and EA, that will be coming to this inaugural gaming event from GAME, with more exciting announcements set to follow very soon.

GAME UK marketing director Anna-Marie Mason said: “Ubisoft is a fantastic addition to the impressive list of publishers attending GAMEfest. We’re really excited to be giving GAMEfest customers the unique opportunity to be among the first to play a huge selection of soon-to-be-released titles from Ubisoft.”

GAMEfest will run from the 16-18 September 2011 at the Birmingham NEC with tickets available online on the GAME website.

Tickets cost £10 for anyone aged 12 or over and £5 for anyone under 12 years old. To buy tickets, would-be attendees need to own a GAME reward card. If they do not currently own one, they can go to any GAME store to sign up and then go to the website to buy the tickets.
